Mufti Abdul Muqtadir Sikander
Mufti Abdul Muqtadir completed memorization of the Quran during his early teens at Darul Uloom Khaleeliyah in India. He graduated as an Alim in 1993 from the Jami’ah Islamiyyah Ta’leem Uddin Dabhel (Darul Uloom Dabhel). He then completed the Iftaa Course at the same institution under the guidance of Mufti Mehmoud Hassan Gangohi and Mufti Ahmed Khanpuri, and graduated as a Mufti in 1995. After his studies, Mufti Abdul Muqtadir taught for two years at Darul Uloom Dabhel, then migrated to the US. He taught in Darul Uloom Buffalo for one year, then moved to Teaneck, New Jersey. Since then, Mufti Abdul Muqtadir has been with the community serving as an Imam of the Nida Ul Islam Center.
Hafidh Omar Chaudhry
School Administrator / Hifdh Instructor
Born and raised in New Jersey, Hafidh Omar completed his Hifdh in 1999 and is the first graduate of the Academy of Saut Ul Furqan. After graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, he worked in corporate America for many years. In 2018, he joined the Academy again, this time to be a mentor and resource for his younger brothers (students) to benefit from his experience as they pursue to become bearers of Allah (SWT’s) Divine Speech. He is one of the Hifdh Instructors, takes care of the everyday administrative affairs of the Academy, and is tasked with the responsibilities of ensuring that the students have a safe and fun learning space.
Hafidh Idrees Ahmed
Lead Hifdh Instructor
Hafidh Idrees graduated from the Hifdh program at Jamia Arabia Islamia Masee-Hul-Uloom in Banglore, India in 2005. He has been teaching at the Academy of Saut Ul Furqan with knowledge and enthusiasm since 2011. Many students have completed their Hifdh under him and lead taraweeh every year.
Dr. Masood Ranginwala
Arabic Studies Instructor for Hifdh Program
Dr. Masood Ranginwala has studied Arabic with various teachers and institutions. He has been teaching basic Quranic Arabic over the past few years at the Islamic Learning Foundation. Dr. Masood obtained the Sībawayh degree from the Qibla Institute as well as a Diploma in General Islamic Studies from the Islamic Online University (IOU). He is a practicing emergency physician and the father of one our Hifdh students.
